Because a lockdown is a freezing in place of people. And that’s death.
A 100% lockdown would kill everyone so it can’t be.
Any amount of lockdown is some amount of death. Total lockdown is total death.
So it is a balancing act. Lockdown ‘death’ or covid ‘death’
And it should be noted that both these ‘deaths’ are a mixed bag of things, not just convenient body bag dead people but a mixture of human suffering of all kinds and indirect as well as direct and immediate and future.
Both covid and the lockdown ‘death’ are of this nature and arguments based on pure body bad deaths are sophistry of the first order – and that’s before we get anywhere near investigating the reliability of the statistics or decoding the meaning of the labels.
So from the beginning and constantly, all the time, first and foremost, should always be a measuring of both sides in order to accomplish the balancing act, decide where the balance is.
A supremely important thing requiring quite some effort.
Exactly what Generals do during the course of their campaigns – measure costs against progress.
This has wholly, completely, utterly not been done, not been seen to be done, not been done.
This ‘war’ has been conducted without any concern whatever for measuring cost against benefit.
Nobody knows if at any given time we’re ‘killing’ ourselves more than the virus would have killed us.
And that is the condemnation of all who’ve lent their support no matter how large or small to this lockdown death strategy. The utter condemnation. The total failure of responsibility.
When we consider all the evidence it seems more and more clear that the covid ‘deaths’ are much, much less than the ‘freeze in place’ death but it wouldn’t matter if the situation were reversed the point is there’s a correct way to conduct such a campaign, certain tasks needing to be undertaken and it hasn’t been followed, t
hose things have not been done.
In a country like Australia with virtually no virus at all then when the whole country locks down because some virus was spotted in one place then it is obvious that a massive percentage of that lockdown was wasted, did nothing, was useless.
It was done ‘in case’. i.e the idea is that you don’t know where the virus is spreading to – someone might be carrying it and they could wander off to absolutely anywhere and you don’t know.
So because of that one person the whole nation freezes in place. And the ‘dying’ begins.
Now that needs looking in terms of probability, doesn’t it? What is the probability of someone traveling to each different area from the last known site of infection?
And from there what is the probability of a serious outbreak in those places if that traveler did go there?
And from there finally what is the probable ‘death cost’ in that area?
And weigh that again a calculated ‘lockdowndeath’ for that area.
i.e. – does it rationally pay to have that place locked down?
And note all of the above is assuming there is some benefit. You can say it’s giving the ‘benefit of the doubt’ to those who support lockdowns and mask mandates.
If that’s true then that’s fine and we should proceed as above.
But we are not proceeding as above.
And in fact the situation is far worse because in fact lockdowns and mask mandates simply do not work, do nothing to prevent the spread of the disease as is demonstrated over and over here there and everywhere.

So there is no ‘cost benefit’ – there’s only cost. Only Cost !!
How do lockdowns and mask work in Australia you say? Because there is no Covid in Australia. That’s why. They don’t work in Australia any more than they work anywhere else. They don’t stop spread if it is spreading.
But if it doesn’t exist it doesn’t spread. And that’s the situation.
Being an island nation in quarantine – and in summertime – every time it got in they jumped on it quick with a total lockdown costing the usual horrific cost but stamping the thing out before it could get started.
You can do that. Stop it getting a start. And that’s what Australia is fiercely dedicated to doing. Stopping it ever getting a start.
But once it does get a start then lockdowns and masks won’t make a difference.
Lockdowns do work – to help isolate and quarantine a few cases if you’re lucky. And willing to sacrifice everything.
But a real epidemic, a real contagion. No. They don’t work.
Australia is in the habit of going to far extremes and total lockdowns on the rumour of an outbreak. What is going to happen when a real outbreak happens? When the virus really is widely present in the community as every year flu is for instance or (corona virus) common cold?
What are they going to do then? ‘Total lockdown’ the whole nation?
They’ve got no other choice. They leave themselves no other options. They are totally dedicated to this procedure. It is their only strategy.
And will it come? It is certain to come. It will exist on planet earth for the foreseeable future, mutating constantly. It will come.
And then they plan to destroy what’s left of the nation after this current destruction.
Where what’s the option? Natural human fighting of the virus, that’s what. Letting good health and nature battle the thing as has been the way since the dawn of humankind.
